When excess becomes overwhelming and everyday life feels too much—when quantity replaces quality, and a cacophony of colours, sounds, forms, and events assaults you relentlessly—an IMPLOSION occurs.
And suddenly, that inner eruption regulates all tensions… The entire surplus disperses, and after a sharp descent I begin to drift in weightlessness, suspended within my universe of reality…
Because my reality is grounded in the continuation of several cycles: “On the Other Side of the Mirror,” “In Between,” “The Cosmic Series,” of course “Collisions,” as well as “Beyond Space” and “Gardens.”
I invite you into my world of colour or black and white—into all my ambiguities, into the 50 layers of my Collisions. And finally, into the largest of my works: the mural on my own house, “I Live in My Painting,” which I have been continuing and transforming since 2009—an area of 400 m²…
I have often been asked why there is colour and expression at one time, and black and white at another. The answer is simple: it is day and night—still the same day, over and over again.
